This classic cocktail was created around 1919 by Camillo Negroni in Italy. It’s said Camillo asked the bartender to change the recipe of his favorite cocktail, the “Americano”, to substitute Gin for the Club Soda so that it would be stronger. After that, people started to flock to the same bar asking for the “Negroni”.
1 oz Campari
1 oz Gin
1 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
1 Orange Peel
1. Add campari, gin, sweet vermouth, and ice in glass. Stir until cold, and garnish with an orange wheel.
